This chasuble was worn by Pope Benedict XVI, during his visit to Brasil in May 2007.
We have had the honour to co-design this vestment.
Monastic chasuble, unlined; with inside stole.
Machine embroidered with gold and silver threads on handwoven banding in Seta fabric, woven with natural knots and richly embroidered with gold and silver threads, with embroidery on the sides and embroidered neck. With embroidered roll collar "3".
The handwoven band has random knots woven into the fabrics. These are not considered as flaws, but enhance the rustic beauty of this fabric..
