Chasuble worn by Pope Benedict XVI
Product Categories:
This chasuble was worn by Pope Benedict XVI during his visit to Brazil in May 2007.
We had the honour of co-designing this vestment.
Monastic chasuble, unlined, with inside stole.
Machine embroidered with gold and silver threads on a handwoven band in Seta fabric, on both front and back, woven with natural knots and richly embroidered with gold and silver threads, with embroidery on the sides and an embroidered neckline. With embroidered soft roll-collar "3".
The handwoven band contains natural, randomly woven knots. These are not considered flaws but enhance the rustic beauty of this fabric.
