These are pictures of ombrellinos, that were custom-made for the basilicas of Sts. Peter and Paul, in Cattanooga, TN, and St. Peters in Boxtel (Netherlands). The ombrellino, also called conopaeum, papilio or sinicchio is the great papal symbol, that minor basilicas have been allowed to carry. It originated as the canopy carried over the pontiff.
